Elections 2012
Elections for Trustees and Officers will be held on
Sunday, June 17, 2012.
Nominations
Qualified Mount Sinai members are invited to submit an application to serve on the Board of Trustees. Based on these applications, the Nominating Committee will select a list of candidates for Trustee and Officer positions, which is then voted on by the Shul. Application forms may be filled out either online via the Shul's website (www.mtsinaishul.com/content/boardapp), or by picking up a paper application in the Shul office. Applications are due Sunday, April 29, 2012. The Nominating Committee will let all applicants know if they were nominated on or around Sunday, May 20, 2012.
Petitioners
Qualified Mount Sinai members who are not selected by the Nominating Committee may submit a petition for inclusion on the ballot for a Trustee or Officer position. Petitions require the signatures of the petitioner and 10% of the Shul membership that was eligible to vote on January 1, 2012, of which the exact number will be made available by the Nominating Committee upon request. Petitions must be submitted to the Shul office or the Nominating Committee no later than Sunday, June 3, 2012. Earlier submission will allow the petitioner the opportunity to correct any irregularities.

Requirements
Trustee:
· Member since January 1, 2012.
· Cannot be the spouse or child/parent of a concurrently serving Trustee or Officer.
· Must apply or consent to nomination.
· If you previously failed to complete your term as Trustee or Officer, please contact
the Nominating Committee for the specific additional required steps.
· Member since July 1, 2011.
· All other requirements for Trustee.
· 1 year of Board service.
· All other requirements for Officer.
