Eating Disorders in the Jewish World:
What to Know and How to Help

Hear from Temimah Zucker on the subject of debunking myths around eating disorders, information around how and why it is so prevalent in the Jewish community, and how to help a friend struggling. Temimah will speak based on her experience as a clinician as well as an eating disorder survivor herself. 

 

The cost for dinner is as follows:
$21 - Members
$25 - Not Yet Members
$6 - Children 5-12 years old

 

Pre-registration is required for dinner.
Deadline to register is Wednesday, January 17th.
The shiur and oneg will be open to the entire community.

Temimah Zucker, LMSW is the Assistant Clinical Director at Monte Nido Manhattan, a Day Treatment Program for Eating Disorder as well as therapist in private practice in NYC. After recovering from her own struggle with an eating disorder, Temimah entered the field and currently works as a therapist, writer, and national speaker. Temimah is in the process of creating a non-profit for eating disorders in the Jewish Community and specifically runs a support group for Jewish women in recovery. She was also one of the Forward 50 and the Jewish Week's 36 Under 36. Temimah is a Mounte Sinai member and lives in the Heights with her husband and two puppies.
