Rabbi Yehoshua Katz - Rabbinic Intern

We have a new Rabbinic Intern, Rabbi Yehoshua Katz. We look forward to hearing many wonderful words of Torah from him in the upcoming year.

Yehoshua Katz is currently studying for Semicha in the Semicha Honors Program of the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, where he is the Shiur Assistant for Rav Michael Rosensweig, and for an M.A. in Jewish Philosophy at the Bernard Revel Graduate School for Jewish Studies of Yeshiva University. Shua, as he is known to family and friends, graduated as valedictorian from the Mazer Yeshiva Program and from Yeshiva College with a B.A. in Philosophy. Prior to college, he learned for two years at Yeshivat Har Etzion after graduating from Torah Academy of Bergen County. Shua loves to learn and share Torah in all areas, including Gemara, Halacha and Tanach, with both adults and teens. His experience includes serving as the director of the Waiter/Beit Midrash program at Camp Mesorah, delivering shiurim at Congregation Rinat Yisrael of Teaneck, NJ, and working as a Madrich on NCSY Kollel.

Shua is married to Bracha Brauser of Hollywood, Florida, who is pursuing a doctorate in psychology at Kean University. They are both so excited to join the Mount Sinai community, to get to know its members, and to contribute to its growth and success.
