Parameters of the eruv:
- The western sidewalk of Broadway is in the eruv, from the entrance to 4305 Broadway (just south of 184th St) until the south-west corner of Broadway and 192nd, inclusive.
- The northern boundary on Broadway is 192nd St. The norther boundary on Bennett is at the north end of the Ft. Tryon apartment complex, near where the street curves towards Broadway.
- The Ft. Tryon buildings north of 192nd St. can only be accessed from the entrances on 192nd or Bennett; do not enter or exit those buildings from Broadway, since the building itself forms the eastern wall of the eruv.
- The northern boundary on Fort Washington Avenue is where the street meets Margaret Corbin Circle (labeled Traffic Circle on the map). Both sides of Cabrini Boulevard, where it meets the circle, are in the eruv.
- Fort Tryon Park and Margaret Corbin Circle are not in the eruv. The playground on the west side of Ft Wash, south of the circle, is included, as is Bennett Park on Ft Wash between 183rd and 185th. The park with the tennis courths across the street from the playground (past the stairs to the 190th St A station, is outside the eruv, as are those stairs.
- The western boundary of the eruv is the cliff wall supporting Cabrini Boulevard. This means that all the buildings on Cabrini and Chittenden are included, but Riverside Drive is not.
- Please note that the north-east corner of Bennett and 181st is not in the eruv. If you are walking on 181st, and going to a building on the east side of Bennett, between 181st and 184th (which are all inside the eruv), please turn onto Bennett on the west side of the street and cross Bennett at a later point.
- Both sides of 181st St. between the west side of Ft. Washington and Haven Ave. are within the Eruv. On 181st St. from the east side Ft. Washington Ave. to Bennett Ave. the Eruv only covers the north side of the street. You also may not carry on 181st St west of the entrance to 867 W 181st St (between Cabrini and Haven), or east of Bennett Ave.
- On Ft. Washington Ave., between 181st and 180th St, only the west side of the street is in the eruv. You cannot carry below 180th St. on Ft. Washington Ave.
- On Pinehurst Ave., you may carry on both sides of the street above 180th St. Between 180th St. and 179th St., only the west side of the street is in the eruv.
- Only the north side of 179th St., and only between Pinehurst and Cabrini, is in the eruv.
- Both sides of Cabrini Blvd. north of 179th St. are in the eruv. The park on Cabrini Blvd. between 180th and 181st is included in the eruv.
- If the entrance to a building is in the eruv, then the building is in the eruv.
- The mikvah is in the eruv.
- Please note that there is another eruv in Washington Heights, surrounding the Yeshiva University campus. The two eruvin are not currently connected, meaning you cannot carry from one to the other.
- Please contact the eruv committee or the Rabbi with any questions regarding the boundaries of the eruv.
