Don't forget to bring photo ID or NYBC donor card. Eat well and drink plenty of fluids before donating.

Do not donate if you have:

• a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19 (cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing)
• had close contact with someone diagnosed with or suspected of having COVID-19 in the last 14 days
• been diagnosed with or suspected of having COVID-19 until 14 days after your illness has resolved
• NOTE: close contact is defined by CDC as being within 6 feet of an infected individual for a prolonged period of time 

 NY Blood Center does not test for COVID-19. Please contact your health care provider if you want to be tested. 

Please note that there has been a change in the deferral for anyone who has tested positive for  COVID-19 and or/has been exposed/experienced  COVID-19 symptoms:

• Donors must be 10 days symptom free if recovered from COVID-19
• Donors may NOT donate if they have had a positive diagnostic test or experienced symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 10 days
