Yom HaShoah Please join us this Yom HoShoah for a lecture from our own Dr. Jonathan Boyarin on the topic of "From a Ruined Garden: Polish Jews Remembered." Jonathan Boyarin is the Diann G. and Thomas A. Mann Professor of Modern Jewish Studies in the departments of anthropology and Near Eastern Studies at Cornell University. His work focuses on the culture of Ashkenazi Jewry and its descendant communities. His most recent book is Yeshiva Days: Learning on the Lower East Side (Princeton University Press). He is also a Yiddish translator. Candle lighting ceremony to follow. |
