Shabbat with Elie Friedman

All DayElie Friedman will speak after tefilla on Shabbat morning about his experience as a gay man in the Orthodox community.
He will continue the conversation over a question and answer session at Seuda Shlishit.
Elie Friedman grew up in Teaneck, NJ. After attending yeshiva high school, he studied at Yeshivat Har Etzion. He has a B.A. from Yeshiva College, an M.A. from the Bernard Revel Graduate School, semikha from Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, and a J.D. from Yale Law School. He works as a staff attorney at the New Hampshire Public Defender, where he represents indigent defendants charged with felonies, misdemeanors, and juvenile delinquency. Before that, he was a law clerk for Justice Barbara Lenk of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
