Come hear from experts in the field of healthy relationships on May 22nd at 8:30 pm. The workshop will discuss the pillars of a healthy relationship, focus on warning signs of unhealthy relationships and open up a space for conversation about dating and relationships. The program will present what abuse can and might look like while dating and what someone should do if they or a friend are in an uncomfortable situation.

Bios:


Liana Goldmintz, LMSW is a clinical social worker at the Mount Sinai Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention (SAVI) Program.  At SAVI, Liana coordinates the Takanot Program which provides free psychotherapy to Orthodox survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.  Prior to working at SAVI, Liana was a training and volunteer coordinator for the SOVRI Helpline at the Beth Israel Medical Center.


Ali Hartman, LMSW has been working in the field for the last five years since graduating from Hunter College with her Masters in Social Work. Currently, Ali works for FEGS Health and Human Services providing school based services in multiple yeshiva day schools. Ms. Hartman has experience working with multiple populations as a advocate, an educator, and facilitator, including but not limited to, survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.   


Dr. Efrat Sobolofsky is the Director of YUConnects, a project of the Center for the

Jewish Future (CJF) of Yeshiva University. Efrat is an alumnus of Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work (WSSW), where she completed her MSW and Doctorate in social welfare. She is married to Rabbi Zvi Sobolofsky, Rosh Yeshiva at Yeshiva University and Rabbi of Congregation Ohr HaTorah in Bergenfield, NJ.


Miriam Steiner, L.M.S.W. has been working as a licensed social worker at the Hebrew Academy Of Nassau County, in Uniondale, for the past five years.  She obtained her B.A. in Psychology from Yeshiva University, and her Masters in Social Work with a focus in group work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University. When Miriam was living in Washington Heights she volunteered her time at Columbia University Medical Center as an advocate for survivors of sexual assault and domestic abuse from 2009-2012.  Miriam received her training at Beth Israel Medical Center, and has been a certified advocate from NY State since 2009.
