Matanot Le’Evyonim

It is a mitzvah provide monetary support for poor people on Purim through Matanot Le’Evyonim. MSJC is supporting the Jewish Community Council (JCC) of Washington Heights. On Purim day, they will distribute tzedakah to hundreds of people in our neighborhood who need our support. Donations can be made at www.jccwashingtonheights.org/donate/ or  www.mtsinaishul.com/purim-donations or  Venmo to @Yaakov-Taubes. Please note donation as Matanot Le’Evyonim.

Machazit HaShekel 

In remembrance of the half-shekel that was donated annually to the Temple treasury in the month of Adar, your Machazit HaShekel donations will help support the Shul’s operating budget. Please help support the Shul by making a donation. www.mtsinaishul.com/purim-donations

Deadline: Monday, March 9th
Join us in supporting the shul while gifting your friends and shul community members delicious treats!
Send to all 2025 members for $200 or to individual members for $5 per package ($25 minimum). Reciprocity options available.

Purim Pre-Game Cocktail Hour
Motzei Shabbat, March 8th, 8:30 pm
Let’s get boozy! Come and learn how to craft classic drinks at this pre-Purim cocktail making event led by spirit enthusiast Reuben Berman. Shake (or stir) it up and pour some Martinis and Manhattans with your friends!

Kids Pre-Purim Silent DJ!
Wednesday, March 12th, 5:00pm
Get in a celebrate-the-miracles-of-Purim mood with the epic return of the silent DJ. Pick your playlist and bring your energy. Don't dance? Come and vibe with good music and activities. Dinner will be served. Registration closes March 5th. $15 members, $18 for not-yet-members, $5 eating adults and toddlers 12-23 months.
