While we cannot guarantee zero transmission at MSJC, we feel that adherence to these guidelines will greatly reduce the risk of COVID-19 spreading in our shul.
1) You may NOT attend in-person MSJC events if you:
If you have been fully vaccinated (a full two weeks have passed since you received the final shot in a series) and you were exposed to someone with COVID-19, you may attend services ONLY if you are symptom-free.
2) Please sign-up online prior to attending in-person MSJC events.

1) You may NOT attend in-person MSJC events if you:
- Have any of the following symptoms OR live in the same apartment/house with someone who has the following symptoms:
- fever greater than 100.4 F
- cough or shortness of breath
- headache or body aches
- nausea and/or vomiting
- loss of smell or taste
-
Tested positive for COVID-19 or have had an undiagnosed illness with similar symptoms within the past 10 days.
-
Had close contact with or were exposed to someone with COVID-19 within the past 10 days.
If you have been fully vaccinated (a full two weeks have passed since you received the final shot in a series) and you were exposed to someone with COVID-19, you may attend services ONLY if you are symptom-free.
2) Please sign-up online prior to attending in-person MSJC events.
- We advise anyone who is immunocompromised, over the age of 65, or in a higher risk category (e.g. hypertension, diabetes) to consult with their doctor prior to attending in-person MSJC events.
- Children under 12 may attend MSJC davening if they are able to stay seated next to their parent while properly masked.
3) While in the building:
- Regardless of your vaccination or antibody status, you must wear a well-fitted multi-layered face mask that fully covers both your mouth and nose.
- Single-layer masks, neck gaiters, handkerchiefs, or bandanas do not provide sufficient protection and should only be worn with a second mask.
- Masks with exhalation vents are NOT permitted.
- Please observe social distancing and sit only in designated seats.
- The downstairs of the building will not be accessible on weekdays when Shalom Yeladim preschool is in session.
Travel Policy:
As of April 1, NY State has updated its travel restrictions as follows:
- All travelers arriving in NYC must monitor symptoms daily from day of arrival in New York through day 14 and must immediately self-isolate if any symptoms develop.
- Domestic travelers arriving in NY from within the USA do not have to quarantine if they are asymptomatic. Symptomatic travelers must immediately self-isolate and contact the local health department or their healthcare providers to determine if they should seek COVID-19 testing.
- International travelers upon arrival in NY, must either quarantine for 7 days with a test 3-5 days after travel, or quarantine for the full 10 days without a test. This requirement applies to all international travelers whether they were tested before boarding, are recovered from a previous COVID-19 infection, or are fully vaccinated.
Thank you for keeping our members safe!
Due to new guidelines, we have added more seats and are no longer requireing signups.
