Yom HaShoah

Please join us this Yom HoShoah for a lecture from our own Dr. Jonathan Boyarin on the topic of "From a Ruined Garden: Polish Jews Remembered."

Jonathan Boyarin is the Diann G. and Thomas A. Mann Professor of Modern Jewish Studies in the departments of anthropology and Near Eastern Studies at Cornell University. His work focuses on the culture of Ashkenazi Jewry and its descendant communities. His most recent book is Yeshiva Days: Learning on the Lower East Side (Princeton University Press). He is also a Yiddish translator.

Yom Ha'Atzmaut Celebration
Monday, May 13th, 8:20pm following a special Yom Ha'Atzmaut Maariv

Rabbi, IDF Sergeant, and author Netanel Elyashiv from Israel will speak on the topic of “Ordinary People in Extraordinary Situations.” This will be an uplifting and inspirational presentation about modern day heroism, post Oct. 7th Israel and the special bond between Jews in America and Israel. Book signing with Rabbi Elyashiv will follow the presentation.
